AWAKE Online Studies Programme

About the Programme
The AWAKE (Accelerating Women’s Access to the Knowledge Economy) Programme is an initiative of the University of Central Asia (UCA), through its Graduate School of Development (GSD) and School of Professional and Continuing Education (SPCE), funded by the Gates Foundation. The programme aims to empower Afghan women by strengthening their digital literacy, technical skills, and entrepreneurial capabilities, enabling them to access remote global digital work opportunities and develop local enterprises.
Programme Overview
The AWAKE Online Studies Programme offers online executive and professional courses designed for Afghan women who hold a degree and have at least B2-level of English proficiency. As classes are conducted in English by international instructors, participants must be able to understand the lessons, communicate effectively, and actively participate in discussions.
The programme consists of four modules:

Digital Marketing

Outstanding participants may also have opportunities to access additional learning resources and credentials, such as Google Professional Certificates and Coursera courses, where available.
