On the Path to Success is a Morning Team series that connects students and the wider community with people whose experiences and initiatives offer practical perspectives on education, opportunity, and youth development. In this session, Fabio Diamante, founder of the Princess Amani Association, shared his experience supporting Afghan girls’ learning and development through the Princess Amani Association.
On the Path to Success is a Morning Team initiative created to bring our community closer to people who are taking action in education and youth development. Through these conversations, Morning Team seeks to raise awareness, share experience, connect people and ideas, and expose young people to practical examples of how educational opportunities can be created and sustained in challenging circumstances. The series also provides a space for students to learn from those who have taken action and to consider how they themselves can contribute to their communities.
On 25 October 2025, Morning Team hosted Fabio Diamante, founder of the Princess Amani Association (Italy), for a conversation about supporting Afghan girls’ education following the events of August 2021.
Fabio shared his experience of developing alternative ways for Afghan girls to continue learning and developing their skills when access to formal education became increasingly restricted. He spoke about initiatives involving leadership development, computer training, entrepreneurship, and collaboration between Afghan and Italian students, including the Dream Books initiative.
The conversation went beyond individual projects to consider how education, initiative, and collaboration can create pathways for learning when established educational opportunities are limited. For Morning Team, bringing such experiences to its community is part of its effort to help students see education not only as something they receive, but also as something through which they can connect, grow, create opportunities, and contribute to others.
