Hassan Reza Rezaye, a member of Morning Team, mentored a group of high-school students from Afghanistan throughout their UWC scholarship applications, supporting them with essay development, application guidance, and preparation for final submission.
Over several weeks, Hassan Reza Rezaye worked closely with the applicants from the early stages of their UWC scholarship applications through the final submission deadline. He reviewed and discussed their essays, helped them develop and refine their ideas, and guided them through different parts of the application process.
The mentoring focused on helping each applicant articulate their own experiences, motivations, and perspectives clearly, while strengthening the quality and coherence of their applications. Rather than providing ready-made answers, the process was centered on feedback, discussion, and helping the students develop their applications independently.
After the applications were submitted, Morning Team held an online reflection session with the participants. The session gave the applicants an opportunity to discuss the challenges they had encountered, reflect on what they had learned through the process, and identify skills and areas they wanted to continue developing as they pursued future educational opportunities.
