Morning Team organized a month-long Japanese-language learning program to help applicants to the Japan–Afghanistan Language School Pathways (JALP) 2027, A two year scholarship, prepare for the interview, the next stage of the selection process.
During the application period, Morning Team created a WhatsApp collaboration group for interested applicants and connected them with a previous Japan–Afghanistan Language School Pathways (JALP) 2027 recipient who is currently studying in Japan. She mentored applicants throughout the initial application stage, sharing her experience and practical guidance from her own journey.
To further support applicants, Morning Team organized 15 one-hour online Japanese-language sessions over approximately one month. The sessions were led by Tajal Sadat, herself a participant in the initiative, who voluntarily collaborated with Morning Team to teach and support fellow applicants.
The sessions focused on building foundational Japanese skills and basic communication needed for the selection process and interview. Their recordings are available below as a resource for participants and others preparing for similar opportunities.
After the first-stage results were announced, Selected applicants invited to the interview continued receiving guidance from the previous JALP recipient, who shared practical advice and lessons from her own successful application and interview experience.
Through this initiative, Morning Team sought to go beyond sharing an opportunity by connecting applicants with experience, peer learning, language preparation, and practical guidance to help them navigate the application process.
